    Yes Stu, unmistakable location.

Couldn't resist taking this shot as we walked back to our jeep from the hide. These guys were sitting around in the hope some scraps might be dropped by the passing Jackels & raptors visiting the hide. This guy(?) was sunning himself to absorb the warm sun.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

Hi Steve, brilliant low perspective here, and love that both wings are in a symmetrical position. The feather detail really stands out, and the big fellow is nice and sharp. As you know and have seen, they get themselves pretty messy when feeding on carcasses, so this guy looks pretty clean for a vulture.

Thanks Stu, I think Charl likes to keep his subjects clean .

only had one occasion where a carcasses was being stripped, but hopefully next time I can capture that moment in ALL its glory as it’s quite a scene and how the hierarchy all works with the different species of Vulture.

There's just enough separation between the main subject and the backing birds to make this work. Groups shots are really tough, but I think you've pulled this off nicely. Main bird is super sharp; the details are outstanding.

Love the pose here. Framing is right as is the low angle. The birds in the background don't bother me.

Hi Dorian, I totally agree, that 'crowds/groups' can be a total nightmare and often you find truncating you have truncated a head or body, not ideal, but hopefully this has the right balance.

Main bird is super sharp; the details are outstanding.
And the answer is very simple, you learn to 'tame' LR and mange 'it', rather than 'it' managing your files. If you don't, your files will look heavy, contrasty and to a degree, have a 'sooty' backdrop, especially with Canon raws.

My type of low angle!! Great scene, and I love the raised neck feathers and overall pose of the main subject. The only thing that could have made this better is for the BG bird at right to have turned its' face like the others have. Just a minor detail on an otherwise appealing image

Indeed Dan, you always get the one that doesn't play ball.
