Captured this image down the shore on a small lake a couple of days ago. I like that he raised his head to get a better scan of the surroundings, giving me I nice profile display. It was clouded over helping to control the whites a bit more. C&C welcome.

Hi Geoff, the raised head adds interest, and yes, the overcast conditions has helped the whites. In turn, I feel the blacks on the neck could come out a bit more. Love the droplets on the back.
Love the raised head. I agree that the blacks are blocked, particularly on the neck. The composition is nice too. A lower POV would've been better IMO if it were an option. TFS Geoffrey
The cloud helped the whites but hurt the blacks! These guys are always an exposure challenge though! I agree a lower perspective is necessary for shots of sitting waterfowl to really crack.
