    Default Blue-gray Gnatcatcher

I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. The Blue-gray Gnatcatcher is a small bird constantly on the move, never staying still for long. I find it best to find a perch or area, pre-focus, waiting, hoping the bird will move there. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I only had the pleasure of photographing this species once (these guys are rare this high north), and it was quite a fun challenge. You got it well here on a nice perch and good background. Looks a touch soft as posted, or at least not as finely detailed as I would expect. A fun image nonetheless.

Artistically, this image is money. Composition is clean and simple, ad I love the view of both eye rings. It makes for strong connection with the subject.

Technically, the bird is a bit soft and the background is getting noisy. I might warm the frame a bit as well.

Hi Joe, I do like the pose with more than the normal head turn. Nice single 'perch' with a lovely smooth BG. Before reading any comments, I too thought the bird was a tad soft.
