    Hi,

just to prove that we occasionally get some sunshine in the UK.

Taken at the Farne Islands a couple of weeks ago.

    1DMK3, 24-70mm at 25mm. f8 and 1/1250 at ISO200.

    C&C welcome.

    Thanks

    Austin

Great pose, and I really like the light shining through the feathers Austin! 25mm....must be nice! A little fill flash might have helped, but you've got pretty good detail on the bird's underside. Thanks for posting!

    Great capture Austin,
I love the details in the feathers. The baby blue sky really makes the sky pop...:D

Great. Love the backlight and the pose! The sky is too clean for me, I always prefer a more cloudy sky, although there isn't much you could do about that ;) Great shot!

Awesome image. I like the head angle. And at 25mm the bird should be very very near. How much did you have to crop?

    Thanks for you comments everyone.

Petros, There was almost no crop at all. I rotated the canvas slightly to get a more symmetrical position in the frame and tidied up the corners.

    Thanks and regards,

    Austin

Centering SO works with this shot.

This could be a motivational poster. "Spread your wings and fly!"

Very nice pose and composition and I love that head turn. Fill flash would have brought out a bit more detail and a nice catchlight though.

    25mm OMG
otherwise, the image is great, especially the pose and the head angle towards you.
