Default One leg, one eye (Wood Sandpiper)

    Camera: Canon EOS 400D
    Lens: Canon EF 400/5.6L USM
    Shutter Speed: 1/400 sec
    Aparture Value: f/8.0
    ISO Speed: 400

Lowering the camera would have helped I guess, but does the bird position work? Hiding one eye, one leg and the beak.

i think bird position works well!! i agree that a lower perspective would have been better. could have had the entire bird with the nice blue bg!!

Hi Mats Agree with Harold The pose works very well since the eye is the most important and its clearly visible !!!

Would try moving around to keep prominent objects on the bg from merging. Referring to the rock by the tail. As you mentioned going for a lower angle would help by giving a different perspective ... bg always looks great !!! One other thing I wold select the bird and lighten a bit !! I like it a lot !!!!
