    Default Northern Shovelers.

I have a bunch of Shovelers at a local pond in breeding plumage like this and am
determined to get a great flight shot in the next few weeks if I get some light.
but they are tough, don't fly a lot and fly fast when they do. They also fly in bunches,
thus we get BG like this.
I like this which is why I posted it, I know why some won't...but let know.

HI Dan. Yes, I like it...but can't help feeling that I'd like it so much more if the oof duck wasn't there. Great sharpness ,colours really pop (especially the eye) on the foreground Shoveler. The water drops add to the image too. Lovely BG. Hope you get more shots soon.

Oh man, the front duck is amazing in all regards, although some noise could be reduced on the flight feathers. The far duck would have been nice had it been more forward than it is now. Have fun there in the next few weeks!

The drake is about as good as it gets. The female does detract somewhat but as the drake is so outstanding I readily accept it.

Great view of that drake. I don't mind the out of focus female here.

I am the odd man out. I like the juxtaposition and I like how the hen picks up the orange tones in the UL BKGR. And of course the upper wing detail on the drake is mega-.
