    I captured this image of a Limpkin at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, image captured at 400mm
    1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 320 Aut0 1 WB then adjusted in post processing with the eyedropper, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction

    Beautiful colour palette on this one Joe, great light. Head angle and details just about perfect, pity about the body position

    I love the HA and colors in this shot. I agree that the body position isn't ideal, but the face and bill are razor sharp. I'm not familiar with this species, but did you lighten the iris - it looks a bit too bright to my eye but it could be entirely natural. Well done, Joe!

    The plane of focus is just about perfect the colours and details are excellent. the bill could have gone glassy and shiny but you have controlled it well. Super shot Joe!
