This is a really nice action frame! He gave you a great pose and you got the focus squarely on the face. Lovely head angle and catchlight. Exposure looks great. Splash is money.

The bird does need to be shifted left as that side of the frame feels very empty as is. I would keep the blue strip of water at the bottom; it offers nice context.

I only wish for more DOF across the wings.

Lovely shot, Kevin. I totally agree with Dorian's critique. I'd add some contrast to the image as the blacks look slightly thin, but very well executed.

Nice, could be a tad sharper, but a nice flight pose and a nice subject we don't see a lot in flight.

I would sharpen the head more. Splash is nice.

I love the setting and the splash.
It looks to me like critical focus was on the legs/tail area. I would sharpen the head and darken the blacks slightly via curves or selective coloring (whichever look best).
I like the crop but agree that moving the bird to the left would improve the comp (or adding more canvas behind the tern).
    Very nice Kevin!

Nice to see all those water drops. Digging that two toned background. Framing is right on as well.
