    Default Dunlin in flight

Between the different shorebird species in Bahrain, I can only seem to get shots of Dunlins in flight. They're just very slightly easier compared to Sand-Plovers, Stints and Sandpipers, but their small size means that most frames are heavy crops. Didn't clone anything in this image. It was a straight-forward edit with WB adjustments, NR and sharpening.

    Camera - Nikon D850

    Focal Length - 500mm
    Aperture - f/5.6
    Shutter Speed - 1/4000s
    ISO - 1400
    Handheld
    Manual, Auto ISO
    ~50% of Full-frame

As always, all comments & CC are appreciated!

EDIT: Cropped and sharpened as per Alex's suggestion.

Any shorebird in flight is an accomplishment. Nice flight position with slight head turn toward you. Good work. Keep trying for those Stints and Sand-Plovers.

Sweet banking pose. Love the HA. The color palette is really pleasing. Details look pretty good but I might sharpen the head a little more. I would also crop a bit tighter from the RHS. I don't have any shorebird in flight shots so very envious! TFS

Well done on capturing this one Aditya, I've tried and failed several times. I like the flight pose and the colours throughout. The crop works for me, I would try lightening the bill a little, and see if you can get a little more detail there.

    Good work

    Nice and sharp.
It is always a good day when you can get a shorebird in flight and have it sharp.
I am OK with your comp.
If I was to be really picky I would wish for a sky with clouds or something to break up the uniform blue.
I also see a bit of noise on the far wing. An easy fix.
    Well done Aditya!

Excellent flight effort. The image is very sharp and you got a really engaging head angle. Exposure is perfect. I do wish we could see a wee bit more of that far/right wing. Is this against water or sky? It's tough to tell without
waves or cloud to clue us in....
