    Default Greater Sand-Plover (Thailand)

In my desire to show every species - and particularly every shorebird species - I present the less-than-exciting winter plumage Greater Sand-Plover!

These guys breed in semi-arid regions across Central Asian and winter on African, Middle Eastern, Asian, and Australian shores.

It was nice to shoot in bright sun after all the high ISO f'ing around in the deep forest hides. This species isn't as exciting as the forest birds,
but you gotta love the IQ improvement!

Nice and sharp, low POV, good light and exposure and the worm adds interest.
Very nice image Dorian. No nits from me!

A fine shot indeed well done. The activity enhances interest.
I think you could tease a little more detail out of the eye.

Nice. Low angle is right on. The light is nice as well. Kind of looks like a Wilson's Plover.

Great looking plover. Love the low POV and nice details. The prey item is great. The water between the beak is interesting. No nits from me. Definitely different techs from your hide shots. TFS
