Hi John, this is better than the last post. Good clean image, good low angle and nice solid techs. Head turn is nice and the details good. A hint of blue cast creeping in on the coat on back and FG grasses?

Hi John -- Lovely light and great to have that low POV , really looks quite appealing. I think you have got good details and colours are looking pretty good to me.

I didnt quite like that BKG , too busy but still you have managed to get a good separation. Also I would have liked a bit more space at the foot but still working for me as presented.

    Nicely done. TFS !

    Hi John a nice one!!

Love the sweet warm winter light and the pose the buck gave you . Nice fine detail in the coat and the sharpness is about right , wonder where that is coming from ? LOL !! Might be because of the better Iso and the decent SS .
I am with Haseeb about the BG ... could be addressed separately . And a tiny bit more room below would have been maybe better !!

    A really nice frame , i like it .

    TFS Andreas

Would again echo Andreas comments John, are you shooting with the 5D3 & 5D4 now?

I like the pose and the lower angle, the background is what it is but I would be inclined to make it a little less dominant in the frame.

Yes sir, I if remember right on this morning i forgot the battery tray thing that goes in the battery grip. The 5D3 one doesn't work in the 5D4. Which is also something else i learned that morning.

Glad you got the battery grip for the 5D4 as it chews up battery life quickly. However if it's really cold and you do have two batteries, then I might suggest keeping one in the inside jacket pocket where it's warm, cold depletes that battery quickly and so having a spare in a warm place you will always be able to keep shooting.

A good lesson, but always prep your kit the day before and charge the batteries, check all cards and reformat, don't go with a card semi full from a previous shoot, so once backed up, aways get in the habit of wiping the card/reformatting ASAP via the camera.

Don't leave batteries in your camera for long periods, take them out.
