    David I think this is your best submission definitely better. The head is soft as the bird was trying to balance more shutter speed would have helped or maybe the sensor wasn't placed in the right position . Love the perch with the moss. TFS

    This is a nice close view of this guy, particularly on the lichen-covered perch. The detail on the feet is great. However, the lack of direct light on the face - hence missing catchlight - makes it difficult to connect with the subject. You really needed to have the head and chest lit for this shot to work.

    Nice look to this image. The head is soft, I would try lightening up the head a little.
