Like planes on the tarmac. The left-hand Sandhill Crane is bending forward, indicating his readiness for launch. (I was ready for him, but unfortunately when he did take off he did not present a very attractive wing position.) From Bosque in November.

Love this canvas overall. The FG and BG OOF birds, the sharply defined subjects, the placement in the frame of both and those wonderful colors. TFS

Neat line-up!! The last bird of the line should have had its bill more in profile, I guess it did not get the memo. Still pretty cool to see this. IMO the image works well with the lower ducks cropped out, but I understand you leaving them in too. Looks like it was a very beautiful morning!

Nice, I like these kind of "bronze" images. You could go with a very tight crop, above the lower ducks and just above the top ducks.

Very Nice Image, show the moment nicely. Was this done at Crane ponds or Main Pool ?

Thank you all. Yes, it's too bad that the RH crane didn't want to play the game. I considered other crops, but decided that the "ducks in a row" at the bottom added some depth and context to the scene. I could see it with a tighter pano. Krishna, this was taken a few hundred yards north of the Flight Deck.
