There was only a small patch of colour left at this point, so I set up and waited (and hoped) that one of them would swim through. One did, and offered a perfect head angle to boot!

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/400s., f/5.6, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, small crop after a bit of CW rotation to level the horizon, eye work, a few flecks removed from the water.

Are you in the water while waiting in the perfect place for these colors? Simply sublime (so what's new). One day, my friend, one day... But it won't be soon...

    Daniel:

Another beauty. Low shooting angle, soft water and background, excellent sharpening without getting crunchy, head turn.

Normally I would crop in tighter vertically, but I am sure you wanted to capture that list bit of color as fully as possible.

    Cheers

Nice water, it could use a bit of contrast for me....

Spot on as per your usual. Nice low angle and the water color is great. Kinda matches the bird.

Sweet color. Nice of him to find the right patch.

Love the colors and low POV.
The image needs a boost of contrast I think.
