    I made this image in Gilbert Ranch AZ.

    Camera Settings:-
    ===============
    Nikon D850, 600 f/4 +1.4x TCIII
    1/1250 sec, f/5.6, ISO 1600
    Matrix Metering, Manual Mode
    Fill Flash


    Post Processing:-
    ===============
    Raw Processing using C1P 20
    Cropped
    Nik 25-25 Filter on Bird at reduced opacity
    Tonal Adjustments in Viveza
    Neat Image NR
    Sharpening for Presentation
    Dodge selectively
    Cloned few spots in the water.

    Nice preening pose. The shape of that tail is pretty neat. Nice color in the water as well.

    Very nicely done. I'd prefer the duck on the left side of the frame (our left).

    Great BG and POV and pose. I love the fanned tail.
    The color balance on the duck seems off to me- ie. too black/dark purple. Perhaps it is a local variation or the light but he looks different than our Nova Scotia ring-necks.
    I have enjoyed viewing your images this past year and am looking forward to seeing what you post in 2020.

    Subject was in shade and I attempted to use fill flash. I did remove Blue cast on the bird. It could be a reason for the same.
