    Default Mandarin Jump...

Another flight image of our local Mandarin duck.
This is not a captive. A wild duck as far as anyone knows
(some say a farm escapee, but who raises them and it that is
the case, there should be a lot of them...)
    He is spectacular!
    D500, 420mm, f4, 1/1600, iso3200
Very tight in the frame, I added some canvas all around.
It is actually hard to photograph him due to the crowds of people....

this is excellent Dan, you nailed the pose. IQ and BG could be better but you did the best you could with ISO3200. If mine I would put more space around him.

Love the pose and colors. A little more on the bottom for me. See some noise in the wings and under tail/belly. Pretty nice for 3200 ISO, though.

Way too tight in the frame for me, but I appreciate the difficulty of capturing this image. Great detail for such a high ISO. I like the varied BG, although it does seem slightly busy. Excellent wing position and HA.

Outstanding capture, Dan. Love the light on this beauty, detail, and flight position.

The pose is great. Yes to more room around. Nice detail on the bird.

Love the pose and the BG.
Yes to a bit more canvas all around.
I can see the line in top right hand side and bottom left where you added the canvas. Easy fix in PP.
