Nice classic landing pose (including the shadows).
Funny that it seems like about half of them land like this.....

love the light and the landing pose, there seems to be something funny going on with the far primaries where they have merged into each other, perhaps too much NR?
light is excellent

Beautiful light and pose, Bill with killer BG. Only wish for no shadow on the head but love it as is. TFS
Excellent light and pose. Agreed with Arash re. waxy feathers. I might shift the bird just a touch lower in the frame. Great view of the feet too. TFS.
Look at that light! Great landing pose, and nice that you got the shadow just behind the eye. Love the lowered feet, and that perfect background.

Sweet light. Love how the birds head is framed by his wings. Great background as well.
Killer light and wing position. Love the BG colors.
Everyone hopes to get this classic goose image when at Bosque but few get it as nice as this.
I like the shadow of the head on the far wing.
I think the waxy look of that primary is due to the light but correct me if I am wrong.
A really nice frame.

Thank you all. It could be the light; that was my first guess. But I did apply some slight NR to the bird which may have given the wings a slightly too-smooth look under these conditions.
