    Nicely exposed but having seen your others I would say this one is OK., not much wrong with it but I don't feel in any way engaged with the subject, if his head or at least his eye was slightly toward the camera I think it would make a big difference. The background/surroundings are busy but the deer stands out well, he is clearly visible. Toning down the base may prove beneficial.

    Agree with Jon here, John, but wold crop a tad off the LHS. A sliver more below would be nice I think.

    Hello John,

    I am with Steve here, a tiny bit of a crop from the LHS to exclude that one tree trunk, and more below if you have it. Love the BG with the green trees (conifers?), FG is a tad busy but nothing you can do about it, it's nature:)

    Good thinking on DoF and once again, great textures and colours on the subject. Hope the weather won't keep you away from the 'Smoky Mountains' and we get to see some more, thank you so much for sharing and I hope you have a super week-end!
