Hello John,
Quite a frame filler you have here, nice pose from the subject and such lovely rich colours/ textures on its coat. FG a bit 'busy' but I do like the pretty BG with barely a hint of those grasses.
Just curious, cannot quite figure out what those patches on the subject's fur are ( close to the left edge of the frame, near the little flowers) - is it hair loss, molting?
If this was mine I would crop tighter to eliminate both the flowers on the LHS as well as some of the FG - the result would be a less cluttered image with less distractions.
Thank you so much for sharing, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week,
Kind regards,

Nice shot John, good looking subject and as Gabriels says, I too would go in a bit tighter from left and below. And maybe up that SS to 640 if possible as the fine detail is just slightly lacking.

Thank you Gabriela,
That's just some hair loss from the wear and tear of the rut. Also notice he has broken off the tip of his left beam on his antler.

Thank you very much John,
Indeed it looks like hair loss, but glad to see he is still in good condition. And yes I saw the broken tip, what a pity! But I suppose it doesn't affect him as such

Aha, now I have seen this I have my answer to the question posed in your previous post! I like the image, I would crop the flowers off on the left, otherwise it looks very good. ..... just maybe investigate the darkest tones - possibly a tad heavy?

Hi John -- Cant agree more with Steve. I feel your OP lacks sharpening even though the colours and details are there, also didnt like that lhs. But still a nice frame.
TFS !
