    I borrowed a Nikon D500 w/200-500mm f5.6, didn't realize it was set on Jpeg, this is what came out.
    hand held manual 1/3200 f6.3 ISO-1600

    Background looks ok. I think you missed on sun angle. I know that sometimes in such situations it is not possible to get on sun angle.

    I think whites are bit blown, since this is Jpeg it might be possible to recover the same.

    I love white-throated sparrows.
    Very nice pose- parallel to the sensor with a nice head turn.
    Perch is OK and BG just OK. I would clone out the little circle just above the bird's back.
    The main issue I have with this image is that the eye/bill area are not tack sharp and the whites are blown on the forehead and rump.
    Looks like critical focus was on the shoulder.
    I once shot for a morning on JPEG setting and I was so upset. A hard lesson worth learning and now I always check my camera now before I fire a single shot when starting my morning/afternoon.

    Nice one overall. I think the only thing holding this back is the light.
