I captured this image this morning at Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida. The White Pelicans are back, must have been twenty to thirty around the lake. This bird appears to be a male, looking closely at the bill the beginning of the horn that grows while breeding can be seem. This bird was very trusting allowing me to sit on the ground nearby to capture images, then after a while entering the water swimming away. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I almost didn't open this; just another Pelican shot, I thought. No. This is splendid, Joe. Love the high-key with white bird, and the details are exquisite. Stopping down a few stops might have given you some more DOF, but it looks like you were fighting low light. A really nice portrait. Maybe add a 1 px border?
Fabulous. White on white is always appealing to me, and this is no exception. The details are excellent. I guess more dof on the body would have been good, but I am captivated by the face and neck.
Love the high-key look and the great feather detail.
with love, artie
