    I made this image in Bosque Del Apache NM Last Year.


    Camera Settings:-
    ===============
    Nikon D850 500 f/4
    1/1600; f/4; ISO 1400
    Shutter Priority, Auto ISO
    Matrix Metering


    Post Processing:-
    ===============
    Raw Processing using C1P
    Cropped from Top left for Composition
    Neat Image NR
    Sharpening for Presentation
    Burn and Dodge selectively
    Added few points to blacks

    Lovely palette of colours, how is this different to a Ross's goose?

    For Ross Goose - stubby bill that is neatly triangular in shape

    Krishna, this look to be a bit over-exposed. There is a lot more texture available in the whites if you can bring it back a bit.

    Krishna:

    I like the soft, multi colored background with enough detail to establish the scene, but not distract. The whites do seem right on the edge on my monitor, but most values were in the 240 range, with a few on the back of neck in 250ish range. I could see lowering them just a sliver, but they are pretty darn close.

    Thank you all for the comments.

    I did some dodging on the bird which might have pushed the whites up. I processed this image from my laptop, and they looked ok to me. I will check it on my big screen.
