From the Crane Pool at Bosque last week or so. I didn't realize they were Ross's until I got home and went through my images.

Very nice Bill...Both birds with a good flight pose and HA's. Good control on the blacks and whites and nice detail. And, to top it off, both birds in focus. The BG fits well. Nicely done.

This is so nice. The light and poses are perfect, and both birds look to be in perfect focus. The geese below/behind add a nice touch of context, but I could see a wide version with them omitted. It's a beautiful pair of birds however you frame them.

Nice one, scene is set and to have a pair is great. Hadn't heard of Ross's geese before, live and learn.

Thank you all. Dorian, I had the same thought: the oof geese below add some context, but perhaps also clutter the frame. I had prepared two versions, and here's the second, cropped to 16:9 pano eliminating the oof geese.

Love the light, Bill. As well the wing positions, detail, and graduated background. I like both the original and this post.

Sweet light here. Nice pose on the pair. Like the out of focus geese at the bottom.
