Attractive bird, clean background guess a touch more headroom required.
Beautiful bird, perch and background.
you got a nice head turn as well.. well done.
The bird seems bit over sharpened in my monitor.

Lovely looking bird...It appears a wee bit over sharpened here as well. I would wish for the perch to be more detailed. Good quality for ISO 2000 on the 7D Mk2. Was it a big crop..

Thanks for the feedback. Redid it again with more room. Just getting used to Canon's Digital Photo Professional and doing that for RAW as opposed to Adobe RAW.
Recently picked up the 5DIV and will be hopefully getting the 1DX III body later in winter, will be curious how they handle noise and focusing but these were all with the 7DII. After reading more in the forum from others I think I was too focused on the crop sensor making the image appear bigger when I think for warblers and birds, full frame will be just fine and allow for cleaner lower noise images too.
Here's a slight revision on the parula.
The repost is better in terms of comp, with more room. BG is very nice. The bird still feels as if it is lacking sharp focus. Maybe just a tad more selective sharpening?
Head angle is perfect, and the perch looks great. ISO 2000 has unfortunately rendered the image a bit crunchy, and the bird is really close to the top of the frame. If you have space, I would loosen
the crop to give hime more room. That will also help hide some of the IQ issues.
