Another Australian Pelican shot, this time on a heavy overcast morning by the lake.

    Colin:

Perfect timing on the touchdown, with good angle in frame, whites well controlled, and you have to love that eye! Looks like a cartoon.

I might consider a slight crop from the top to play up the width of his wings.

    Cheers

Excellent landing, Colin. Like the angle, extended wings, detail, and nice overcast light.

I love that pose and splashing action. Well exposed. Sharp. I could see a version with more room at left, and I do miss either a catchlight or some sort of reflection in the eye.

Classic shot Colin. I like Randy's crop suggestion.

Neat looking pelican. Agree with the others regarding framing.

Thanks for commenting, framing comments noted. Daniel, totally forgot to do eye work!
