    Hi all,
    Taken during a recent shoot near my home. I would have liked a better HA, but it was not to be
    7Dii,100-400@400mm, 1/3200th sec, f5.6, iso800, manual mode HH.

    That's one grubby Egret Paul. Yes the HA is not great and the bird is just past you. Love the spread out feet. It does look like a landing pose to me.

    I agree about a better HA, and also a better near wing position, but you got the whites right and those outstretched talons look very cool. Do you have more below in the uncropped file?

    Hi Colin. oops....yes, it was landing. ... I agree about it being "grubby". Cheers.
