I returned to the Glen yesterday and arrived just before first light. Everything was covered in frost and some snow about. Obviously been a very cold night up on the hills. I managed this one as it emerged from the frozen heather, to get the morning sun. It appears she had spent the night there, with that amount of frost on her back.

Very nice image. Nice contrast with the backdrop really makes the bird pop.

The contrasts of light and dark work well, if you could darken that light patch it would be less distracting.

    Striking image Will:

Although rather busy, because of the environment, it certainly has lots to draw the eye in, and then encourage one to look around. I understand Tim's point about the snow patches, but I am Ok with them as is, since they tell part of the story.

    Cheers

Hey Will, the image makes me cold viewing it, certainly not normal Florida weather. I like the bird shown in the environment, as Randy wrote "it has lots to draw the eye into". Nice image, thank you for sharing.

Really like how this one shows off the environment. Nice framing and the details look quite nice as well.
