Default Immature Purple Gallinule Feeding On Fire Flag

    Attached Images Attached Images

I captured this image of a juvenile Purple Gallinule feeding on the flowers/seeds of the Fire Flag plant at Circle B Bar Reserve early this morning. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, image captured at 400mm
1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 560 Auto 1 WB, camera supported by a monopod
Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction, smoothed a couple areas in the background, removed a couple intruding branches
    Cropped for composition and presentation

P.S. Learn more about Circle B Bar Reserve, the Purple Gallinules and the Fire Flag plant in the BAA Middle Florida Photography Site Guide that Artie and I co-authored. It is available on the Birds As Art Online Store.

Very nice. Like the view of those feet. Background looks great as does the bird.

Beautiful Colors. Wish for Better Head Angle, a little bit of turn towards you would have been ideal.

Gorgeous colors on the bird and minimal Shadows on the bird, Well done.
