    Default Fall Ring-billed Gull

A few Ring-billed Gulls have migrated south to my area for the winter. There was still some fall foliage left last weekend so I tried to get some images with this as the backdrop.
Maybe a little busy, but something different anyway.

So crisp is your gull. If you have photoshop you should be able to make an easy selection and invert, then apply less contrast, clarity to smooth the background I think some even use noise reduction.

Reduced the contrast and softened the background a little.

Has worked nicely, much more separation.

Repost looks nice... I think a bit tighter in the frame would look nice.

Nice banking pose, good crisp detail and exposure. Repost helps.

I was trying to love the BKGR in the original post but the BOKEH is overwhelming. It looked as if 100 ghosts were peeking at the bird. The repost is better. The gull itself is killer-good.

Like the fanned out tail here. The crop looks great as well. Really like the background.
