    Another portrait of the juvenile white-tailed kite. I was lucky he chose this rustic perch


    Shot with the D850 and the AF-S 600E FL + TC14-E III ISO 800 f/5.6 at 1/3200 sec hand held and processed with C1P

    Striking bird, like the 3 highlights and direct gaze. Well framed holding the perch within.

    Another great image. Nice perch and background. I usually don't like straight on head shots but because of these birds binocular vision it works well. You may have answered this before, but what makes you decide to use the D500 or D850?

    The eye contact is just great! I like this frame better than the previous similar one.

    Great look at this beauty, with your usual excellent techs. Bird's choice of perch does indeed allow for a lovely comp. BG colors are nice too.

    Looks great. Nice head on pose and the perch is pretty neat as well. Killer background.
