Default Trumpeter in Flight at Sunset

A trumpeter in flight, getting the hang of the 90D and 800 set-up. Admittedly really curious how it would compare to the AF system on a 5D Mark IV, but need to use the 90D more to see if I want to change to that one as it's also full frame.

    1/1600, f 6.3, ISO 200.

    Thanks for any comments.

Ditto, seem to be struggling with the highlights here.

Thanks...if you have any suggestions please let me know, I'm still getting the hang of the 90D but am trying to figure out if the camera is good enough at tracking birds, or if it's best to move over to the 5D IV. I shoot with the 800 lens so of course lose the crop sensor on the 5D IV, but main concern is sharpness.

Great light here. Agree with the others on the image quality.

Paul, what lens specifically are you shooting with? I would contend that you would be much better off with the 5D IV. The 90D is not giving you additional focal length. Best explanation I've seen of that was written by Arash. Not sure where I saw it, you might want to check his site or this forum.

The 5D is going to give you much better autofocus, image quality, ISO performance and more.

Yes, I agree - thanks so much John. I think I may go back to the 7DII, and I'd love the 5D IV but think Ill wait for the 1DXIII as it wouldn't make sense to drop 2K on a body I'd use primarily for a few months. At this point seriously thinking of selling my 90D and two lenses for crop bodies then getting the 1DX III and two lenses for it to go with the 800 and 100-400II that I own.
