Had a great trip to Norway this year, these birds - white tailed fish eagles were plentiful.

    Tim:

An outstanding shot. Love the pose, captured fish with trailing water, intense stare of eagle, soft light allowing good shadow detail.

A bit tight in the frame, although the inward gaze by the eagle helps. I also might consider softening the shoreline edge in the background on the left of the image. Reduce the contrast to the level of the right side, and I think it would be a small improvement.

    Cheers

Grat timing Tim, most shots have the bird flying away rather than looking at the catch, this is all the better for it. I love the action with the droplets falling from the unfortunate fish.

Very nice all around. Like the water trailing off the fish and the position of it in the talons. Detail on the bird looks very good.

Outstanding action. The wriggling fish really makes this a winner. Perfect amount of eye contact with the subject. I agree with Arash about warming the frame. Quite cold as is. Detail on that far splayed wing is great.
