    I made this image in South Utah.






    Camera Settings:-
    ===============
    Nikon D850, 600 f/4 + 1.4x TCIII
    1/6400 sec; f/5.6; ISO 1000
    Manual; Matrix metering











    Post Processing:-
    ===============
    Raw Processing using C1P
    Cropped in from Top. Added some canvas at the bottom
    Nik 30-30 Filter on Bird at reduced opacity
    Tonal Adjustments in Viveza
    Neat Image NR
    Sharpening for Presentation. Extra sharpening on the head.
    Dodge selectively
    No Cloning.

    Love that red in the foreground and the background here. Nice detail on the bird. Light looks nice as well.

    The red surroundings are awesome, but the soft legs and disinterested gaze hurt keep this from being everything it could have. The detail on the face and shoulder is beautiful though!

    Wow! Where does the red come from? Very striking colour shows off the bird well.

    I love, love the reds.
    A bit off the bottom for my taste but otherwise a beauty.
    I would rotate image clockwise.
    It would have been a killer image if the legs had been sharp.

    Love the red color. Definitely needs some CW rotation. To me, it looks as if the focus was on the rufous coverts leaving the head softer than the shoulder ...

    Red sand is pretty much common in South Utah.

    There is reservoir which birds use as migration stop over.

    Yes the focus was rufous coverts, I did extra sharpening on the head. I wish I had shot this at f/8 or f/11

    Looking at the feet I do not think CW rotation is required but I will check the raw image..
