David, looks like you were dealing with some harsh light but you got the birds exposure nice. I would suggest and 2x3 crop ratio and give the bird a bit more room on the right.
I would also remove the distracting elements in the BG (light spots and the dried hanging stuff) also tone down the mushrooms a bit if you choose.
Lovely lighting and contrast on this lady. The details on the face is very nice as well. However, perch is a bit distracting, and I can take or leave the seed. Bird is also cramped in the frame, most notably at right.

Just to say shooting in Central Park NYC you are dealing with a dense wooded environment and very low light.
The parameters are challenging.
