Default Red Grouse - Ruffled feathers

    One for Will.

Sadly I wished I could have moved a tad more to the right to avoid the FG heather, but the Grouse was already on the move and any further movement would have spooked him even more.

Steve: Lovely color harmony here, but still good separation for bird. Agree about the heather overlapping the tail, but he looks like he was leaving, so you take what you can get!

    Cheers

Hey Steve, love the color palette of the bird and background. As always techs spot on. When I lived in the north there was a bird similar called a Ruffled Grouse or Partridge. Thank you for sharing.

Never seen a Ruffled Grouse, but plenty of Red partridge, sadly without the camera.

The colors in this are very pleasing. Like the framing and the detail on the bird is great.
