Last week we ventured to Cape May in hopes of seeing a variety of migrant species. It seemed that almost everything that twitched was either a Yellow-rumped Warbler or a Swamp Sparrow -- easily hundreds of each -- plus just a smattering of other passerines. But not the wealth of diversity we had hoped for. It seems we hit the peak of migration of those two. Anyway, for want of anything more exciting, here's a Swamp Sparrow. (Blur applied to background.)
Like the pose, composition and background. The head looks a little soft when I enlarge it on my monitor. 1200 pixels on the vertical when posting might help.
