This is a Eurasian jay (Garrulus glandarius) photographed in a forest near my house. These birds started to collect nuts to store and hide for the comming winter. It is amazing how many places these bird can remember hiding food in. I was happy to get this head-shot as it is so closely connected to the birds behaviour.

Neat. Naturally occurring nuts or at a feeder?

Nice close-up look.... nuts are nice, it look a bit flat to me, maybe a tough more contrast?

Very nice image of a bird not easy to get close to. I like the feather detail, HA and lovely colours throughout, the blues are awesome.

Beautiful portrait with excellent details and sharpness, Ivan. Nice smooth background, and I like the behavioral story.
