Hi Artie, wonderful bird, I love pelicans. My first impression opening the thread was that the bird looked crunchy. Maybe the difference from the 61mp file with more fine detail than what I am used to looking at. Thank you for sharing.
P.S. Do you think there is ever a point when too many pixels and placed on a sensor?

Thanks, Joe, I agree that the JPEG looks crunchy. It was barely sharpened ... I will let Arash perhaps explain why. I love the IQ of the master files so no, at this point I am not thinking that I am working with too many pixels ...

ps: when I get back from the dentist I will add an unsharpened JPEG.

Very nice, very detailed, a bit crunchy...
A lot of new shooters where I live on Sony gear, the new 200-600 seems popular.
Have yet to see a good flight photo by any of them.
Maybe in time, but they miss all the flight shots us Nikon guys get standing right next to them....

Funny thing is I did some vultures with the 2-6 with the a7r IV and not many were sharp. Going back to the a9 almost everything was sharp. But with the a7r IV/1.4X/600 GM most everything was sharp. I will do more flight with the 2-6 with both cameras ....
