Hello Sanjeev,
Superb pose from this lioness, I like the way you captured her, very much. Seems as if she is about to get up and 'sort out' whoever is threatening her precious offspring...And don't you just love those ears pointing backwards The multitude of flies add interest to the image but aargh... they must be so annoying!
Composition works, a pity you do not have more at the bottom but glad you managed to fit in the paws. Techs look good and your choice of DoF is spot on. I find those gums and nose a bit too dark though - have you tried lifting the blacks and/or shadows?
There's also a slight 'grittiness' to the subject - especially face, take a look at the ears as well - I wonder if you went too far with the sharpening, worth another look?
Overall a very nice image Sanjeev, great POV, super timing, and I am so glad those grasses did not get in the way. Enjoyed viewing, and yes... would be very pleased to have this in my folders
Kind regards,

Man those flies must be unbearable sometimes. The pose is nice and i like the setting. More room would have been nice but know you had a prime on.

Nicely executed Sanjeev and the flies tell a story and wit the ears back and intense stare, means businessfor sure. Better with the 100-400 as it is too tight all round. I would up the Temp and go negative (more to the left) on the Tint.
Well done.

It's a magnificent shot Sanjeve, I like it. I maybe tempted to increase the colour temp a fraction it enriches the colours slightly, also just maybe look at the blacks around the nose and lips - very dark indeed, there is a hint of a tooth, a little dodging may deal with darks and tooth?
