This Gull was among a group, but looked different from the others...not sure if it was in a good way or not, and missing some feathers, but it posed nicely for me. I was on my belly on concrete for this one. Cropped to 16x9 because I like it

I like the image. Low angle really helps the image.

Like the Head Angle. Nice Image.

Neat looking gull. Is this a juvenile? The image could use more room on the left. Detail and sharpness are great.

I think you could have gotten lower!
Nice HA and an interesting specimen with the ragged look and wayward feather.
Light was a bit blah but makes the whites easy to expose for!

    Hi Paul,

Unless you were on a rise shooting down, I would bet that you were not at ground level. The perspective here makes it look as if you were seated. Assuming that this is a Silver Gull, it is likely first winter or first summer. I am not sure what is going on with the missing/dirty feathers on the front of the face and about the bill. They are not normal. But the soft light and the disheveled look make me love this image :)

    with love, a

ps: did you do some clean-up right behind the bird right below the tail?

HI Artie. Thank you for the feedback. You're right (as I now think about it)...I was on a slight rise looking down. Most of the clean up was below the bird, but I now can see some "duplicate" sections in the area you mention. So...now back to the raw file and re process! Thanks for your keen eye.
