    Default Bar-tailed Godwit and the looming demise of the sand flea

    I am curious what folks think about this. It's a very heavy crop (I've included the full frame for reference), but I am digging it as it is very different from what we usually see.

    It's the same California vagrant I showed on the blue water the other day.

    Canon 600mm f/4 IS II + 1.4x III on EOS 1DX2
    1/2500 at f/5.5, ISO 800
    *** I cloned out the end of the toes in the tighter headshot crop

    Looks good Dorian. I like it showing the interaction with the prey. Seeing some noise in the background but not bad. TFS

    Very nice overall. The image quality held up nicely to the large crop. The detail is there and is sharpness.

    Looks great, love the close up details. I like to see the colors a bit warmer love the low angle BTW

    I love this!
    Great details- right down to the grains of sand on the bill.
    Excellent choice of composition and IQ had held up perfectly.
