Egmont Key Lighthouse located at the mouth of Tampa Bay where it joins the Gulf of Mexico, as seen from Ft. De Soto Park. Taken at sunset from the Gulf Side pier, the skies were really on fire that night.

A difficult image to comment Jason. I do like the silhouette and the light coming off the lighthouse....and the colors are very appealing as well. The flying birds add to the photograph but there's something about the composition that doesn't really appeal to me. Perhaps it is the fact that everything is rather centered in frame....? Also the bottom part doesn't really add to the composition, so I would suggest cropping a bit off from the bottom. Besides that beautifully executed work.
This is excellent. Great timing to capture the light in that angle. The sky is simply on fire.
Would agree with some off the bottom and moving the lighthouse left? Love the colors and contrast !!! Magical light !!!
JP,
I think placing the lighthouse more left in the frame with a little less sky would offer better balance. By the same token, it you are presenting this full frame, you might just run out of pier before you get into perfect position.
Super sky and did you check out the fine details? Look at the guide wires.
never seen that lighthouse look so good. were you on a boat?
looks like you had clear day. I've tried that shot and have found too much haze to get a clear shot even with polarizer.
Killer sky. Too centered for my taste, but you can always crop.
All the elements are here and great visualization. I would crop into more of a pano; less black on bottom and less sky with the lighthouse left in the frame.
Nicely seen.
