Default Grey Plover on the run

    Hi all,

Thanks for all your comments on my previous post of the Dotterel! This is a new image from this weekend. I was very happy to find this Grey Plover feeding along the shoreline together with some Dunlins. These must be the last shorebirds passing through Sweden on their migration south. This specific location is very beautiful because it has large falt shorelines of lime stone that makes for a unique pattern and easy access for low angel photography. I'm posting this frame to see if people find the bright line of the limestone on the bottom distracting or not. I find it quite nice as it matches the colors of the bird and tells a story but I also wish for a less distinct line. All comments welcome!

Terrific looking POV...I don't find the line of limestone distracting, infact I think it looks good, as you said it matches the colours on the bird nicely. Lovely pose with nice detail on the bird. I like your chosen crop. The water around the bird's feet looks real good, because of the low POV. I take it you meant f/6.3 and not f/6.0. Very nice image. TFS.

Hey Ivan. I find the limestone nice as presented. I think you showed about the right amount. I also like the way the way the feet are visible and the water blends in them.

Beautiful low angle shorebird capture! Eye, feet, and tail are all sharp, and the exposure looks spot on. I don't mind the light line at bottom at all. Looks totally natural.
