    Default Pied -billed Grebe eating night crawler

    Shot this grebe at the end of September in Nd slough. This is a young bird.I had no idea night crawlers resided in three feet of water. They eat mostly fish.Processed with Dpp 4,Photoshop,neat image.Comments and critiques appreciated.

    Nice low angle and spotlight effect...water is excellent.
    I think you could lower the exposure on the birds face a bit and reduce a bit of visible noise.
    Prey is always nice.

    Well caught, I agree the head looks a tad bright but good timing with the prey and droplets.
    I am a limey never heard of a night crawler -what is it?? Also Nd??

    sweet low angle and I like the prey item. I find the image a bit on the bright side. very good details
