I seem to be having a good run lately getting "lifers". This Striped Honeyeater was a little higher in the tree than I'd like...spent quite a while hoping it would land closer to eye height, but it was not to be. I'd also prefer not to have the breast shadows.

Hi David. Thank you for the kind feedback. I'll have plenty more chances as they were at the same location the next day...but much higher in the tree. Cheers.
Sharp with a good self-critique. And a good job of focusing through the branches. But all in all, it does not, as you would suspect, work for me.

Good looking bird, OK perch. Yes, bummer about those shadows. Sounds like you will have opportunities with these guys - always fun to have an excuse to go back
