Flatey Island in May. This is the female, slightly more brownish than the male. She was waiting for him to return from the ocean with a snack for junior.

    D500, Sigma 150-600C @ 500mm, ISO 2000, 1/2500s @ f/7.1 manual. Removed some whitewash; NR to background.

This is really nice Bill. I like the "low light environment" although I would still increase the exposure by 1/3 stop (but protect the whites on the shoulder)
    BG and perch are lovely.
    IQ is excellent as well.

Really like the background on this one. The rock perch is nice and the pose.

A really lovely setting here Bill! I love the pattern and the color of the background. The rock is quite good-looking too!
Nicely exposed, if maybe a bit dark, I would also raise the exposure by a tad. I also like the comp and the pose.
My main concern is the prossesing though as I think all the fine feather details seem washed out, especially the blacks.

She's gorgeous under this overcast day, Bill. Great handling of the whites and browns, and fine detail. Like the rock perch and that nice background.

I like the color palette a lot, the BG is very nice.
It does seem like maybe you used too much NR on the bird?
