I like the feather detail especially on the head and chest. The eye and blue surrounding area look nice, I may try sharpening that area a little. Love the pose you captured.

Beautiful bird, David. I love the breeding plumage and the faint blue around the eye. I am not sure whether the bird is coming into breeding or going out because the eye is more colored in full breeding. The head position is pretty much as you want it for a preening portrait. Thank you for sharing.
