    Default Diving harrier

I have many harrier shots under my belt but this is one of my favorites. This is a typical harrier behavior: the bird flies low in a zigzag pattern when hunting then it suddenly stops in mid air diving almost vertically to grab a rodent. I had seen this behavior many times before but never captured it quite like this, this image ins't perfect, the sun was at about 30 degree angle so parts of the far wing weren't lit up but the dynamic pose makes this one for me. Hope you like it too

I love your harrier images and this is my favorite so far. The pose, the FG in focus and BG OOF giving perfect habitat representation and of coarse the focus(on prey) of a predator while still getting great view of the eye. Even the uneven light makes it that much more "natural" without losing details. The only thing that could make this better would be seeing the prey. Just sublime and looks like perfection to me. TFS

Sweet shot with that action pose, detail, soft light and typical habitat. The small brown blob between the lower wing primaries would annoy me to the point of removing it!

    This is excellent Arash.
I love, love the dynamic pose. It really tells a story.
The eye is lit up perfectly and tou have just the right amount of grass in the FG and a great OOF BG.
    Well done!

An exceptional capture, Arash. Like how you got the very moment of twist, with her eye on the prey. Well done.

Arash, possible my favorite harrier shot from you, I love it. Angle, environment, action, light, etc.
