Not a typical 'Birds as Art' shot, but I thought I would share this from my working week. It is a Wedge-tailed Eagle nest with a fully fledged young sitting on the nest edge probably just about contemplating what to do next. And there is company near by. These are winter nesting birds and we are now into the second month of spring.

I quite like thins sort of image, it is informative, I for one would never have thought I would have seen an eagle and a parrot in the same tree.
I just read your comment in brackets, yes pity not a little tighter. As the image stands I would be tempted to crop some and possibly reduce contrast and lift the shadows a little.

I too, like to see "field images". They are not contest winners but they help me to understand the scene.
I love the pop of color from the pink galah and his place in LLC .
Agree that a bit of shadows work is needed.
Thanks for showing. I enjoyed seeing this.

I like the concept but the harsh light doesn't work for me.

Yes, great to see a WTE at the nest (never seen one myself), but the shot doesn't work for me...light is too harsh and little detail on the birds.

Well you handled the situation well. This is not something you see everyday on here.
