Pretty much perfect... Great job getting the entire body in the smooth BG. TFS

Sweet one John. Awesome setting, low POV, detail, and light angle. Very clean setting for where you see this species. Possibly a touch more DOF for the legs, but you were close and at f/8 already. Really like this one, TFS

My kinda low angle shorebird frame! Beautiful light, and the earthen color pattern through the frame is great. Yeah, it would be nice to see more scales on the legs, but you've really got our attention focused on his face as is. It works well!

nice light and details, I would have chosen a slightly higher vantage point so we could see the feet more

Very nice shot John! Sweet light and the perspective is perfect. I don't mind the lack of feet on this image - I think the grass would've started to compete with the bird had you gotten higher so I like this one as presented. Great work!

    Nice one John!
I like the color palette through out the image. Great background, details and pose. I too would have liked to see the feet but it is not crucial that you can't in this version.

Terrific low POV shot. I like the muted color palette that makes the red eye ring pop. Well done.

A tad more DOF would have been great and I would add some blacks to the bird..
    Excellent angle.
